Description

The idea is to add a chat pannel on the splash screen, to discuss directly with others connected people :-)

Should be added as a plugin ... as a basic feature it doesn't fit into the requirements of an auth server ...

This is now possible, with additional software, using a SmartyTemplate? content type. See the content manager tutorial.
