Gateway uptime calculations are incorrect

Description

After a while, ridiculous values are returned. There must be an overflow somewhere.

Philippe suggested that this may be because the gateway starts before the ntp update.

There is an approach that works even if ntp is started later or the system clock is changes for some other reason: check against the system uptime (/proc/uptime in linux).
