Support out of band authentication using EAP-SIM authentication request

Description

Hi, Hopefully this is the right place to ask this (appologies if not).

I've just started looking at WiFi? portals, and as I see it the user makes a HTTP request, but gets given a login page from the gateway. The gateway authenticates this with the radius server, and all is good.

I am looking at non-username/password logins, e.g. EAP-SIM, in which case the user would make an EAP authentication to the authentication server. Somehow the gateway would need to be informed of this AUTH-ACCEPT, and allow the user to access the internet.

Any ideas on this?

This is a perfectly valid RFE (an seems doable, if somewat difficult to make user-friendly from a UI point of view), but you should post on the mailing list if you want a meaningfull discussion of it.
